COLUMBIA, S.C. (August 16, 2010) - The Berkley Experience Trailer will be at the Bass Pro Shops store in Altoona, Iowa for the next stop in 2010. The 60-foot trailer of fun and activities brings fishing education to all skill levels of anglers. The scheduled stop for the Berkley Experience Trailer is August 20th and is set to end August 22nd.
CONCORD, N.C. - Nitro Boats pro Edwin Evers caught five bass weighing 15.70 pounds Saturday on Lake Norman for a three-day total of 40.71 to win the second event of the PAA Bass Pro Shops Tournament Series presented by Carrot Stix.

WHAT: Maurice Freeze of Concord, N.C., caught a 5-bass limit weighing 19 pounds, 11 ounces Saturday, May 15, 2010 to win $6,679 in the FLW BFL North Carolina Division tournament on High Rock Lake. Freeze was flipping a sweet beaver on a jig around docks to bag his limit.
RALEIGH, N.C. (April 14) - For the second time in less than month, a Nashville angler has reeled in the white crappie state record from the Tar River Reservoir.
Ray Patterson caught the latest record-breaker, which weighed 3 pounds, 12 ounces, on April 6, surpassing by a mere one ounce the previous record holder, caught by Tracey Smith on March 8.
RALEIGH, N.C. (March 2) - A new law goes into effect in 2010 for boaters in North Carolina, especially those under 26 years old.
Beginning May 1, anyone younger than 26 operating a vessel powered by a motor of 10 horsepower or greater on a public waterway must meet the requirements for boating safety education, as set by General Statute 75A-16.2.
RALEIGH, N.C. (March 2) - The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission has opened the newly refurbished Weldon Boating Access Area on the Roanoke River for this year's striped bass season.
The boat ramp has two lanes, with a third to be added after the water level recedes. A temporary dock, which will be removed after striper season ends, is also scheduled for installation on the site. The site's lot has been paved and landscaped, and the river bank has been stabilized to decrease erosion.
RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA - The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission will open approximately 1,000 miles of hatchery-supported trout waters in 25 western counties at 7 a.m. on April 3. The season will run until one-half hour after sunset on Feb. 28, 2011.

RALEIGH, N.C. (Feb. 23) - The Becoming an Outdoors-Woman program of the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission will offer a special introduction to fly-fishing in the southern Blue Ridge Mountains this spring.
TERRELL, N.C. (Feb. 3, 2010) - The FLW Bass Fishing League is headed to Lake Norman Feb. 13 for the first of five stops in the North Carolina Division series. As many as 400 pro and co-anglers will be competing for top awards of up to $8,000 and $3,000, respectively.
